Aboriginal peoples have made, and continue to make, a unique and irreplaceable contribution to the state of South Australia.

We acknowledge and respect Aboriginal peoples as the state’s First Peoples and Nations and the traditional owners and
custodians of South Australian land and waters. We acknowledge and respect the deep spiritual, social, cultural and economic relationships Aboriginal peoples have to Country and we pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

The ABCSA align with the National Agreement on Closing the Gap (the National Agreement), committing to a fundamentally new
way of developing and implementing policies that impact on the lives of Aboriginal peoples, in partnership
with Aboriginal peoples.

The ABCSA commit to ongoing engagement with Aboriginal communities and organisations as we continue to further develop, and improve upon, our plan to close the gap.
